Intended use

Designed for sorting multicomponent polymer mixtures by type using near-infrared radiation.

Application

NIR separator is used in polymer waste processing lines.

NIR Separator Operational Scheme

Principle of operation: the initial material is irradiated with a source of infrared radiation. The conveyor belt transfers the original product to the scaning line. An infrared camera conducts the scaning, and the microprocessor unit analyzes the scaned data, identifies each particle of the mixture, determines their position on the conveyor belt and decides to remove certain particles of the mixture of polymer materials. The ejectors of the pneumatic system discharge air into the particles to be removed.
